North East (Durham)

Heyyy! I’m Emma and I’m the proud owner of Helping Hands - For A Better You. I’m a married mother of 4 beautiful kids ranging from 2-13years old. Having suffered with anxiety and depression from the age of 8, exercise has completely turned my life around which is why I have such a passion for fitness. I’ve been instructing sessions within the community since January 2018 in the Newton Hall/Framwellgate Moor area and I teach boxercise, kids boxercise, HIIT, strength, circuits, kettlebells. I absolutely love the buzz of teaching, classes aren’t just about getting fitter and stronger, the mental health benefits are immense, building confidence, making new friends but most of all, having fun! I’m also a Personal Trainer who carries out sessions within my own home, the clients home or wherever suits! My main goal is to help as many people as I can male, female, young, old, beginner or experienced to overcome barriers to exercise and magnify the benefits both physically and mentally. I run two online training groups on Facebook where I provide live workouts which are dedicated to those who have barriers to exercise such as financial restraints, anxiety, lack of confidence, childcare issues etc. The whole family can join in! These clients learn how to exercise effectively and efficiently within their own homes, ultimately resulting in them building the confidence to come to classes within the community. I’ve currently just completed my Level 3 Exercise Referral Instructor qualification and I’m going to continue my professional development by completing the Level 4 Obesity and Diabetes qualification. This is really exciting for me and I’m so thrilled to be representing Durham as an Ambassador for the Community Fitness Network - I can’t wait to work with other people who thrive to help others as much as me! Thank you so much to the CFN team for building this amazing network and allowing me to be part of it.
