How is my course delivered?
The Exercise to Music course is delivered via virtual route. We have created our own platform, NETFIT, which will allow the delivery of the practical part of the course. This is backed up with 4 live mandatory webinars with your tutor. The anatomy and physiology part of the course is completed using Active IQ's own technology
What does the course cover
Level 2 Exercise to Music covers the following topics:
Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise
How to support clients who take part in physical activity
Health, Safety and Welfare in a fitness environment
Principles of health, fitness and exercise
Planning a group fitness class (including warm up, cool down, aerobic activity and muscular strength and endurance)
Delivering a group fitness class (including cueing, body language, teaching skills, and musicality).
What time would the webinars be?
Exercise to Music Webinars run for the first four weeks of your course.
Tuesday at 2pm
Saturday at 11am
You MUST attend ONE webinar per week. The content of the webinar changes every week. You do not have to attend the same weekly session.
How do you run the webinars?
We run all our webinars using Zoom.
What do I wear for the webinars?
Webinars can feature both lecture content and movement content. Please be prepared that you may be asked to do some movement, therefore we recommend you wear appropriate wear for exercise.
What about all the other learning?
All other learning is done in your own time. this is an in-depth course and is the entry qualification in to the fitness industry. As a guide we advise 156 hours in total to complete the entire course including the assessments.
How do I take the assessments?
The written assessment will take place online through a face to face study group whilst in lock down. After lock down, you will use the Active IQ assessment system.
The physical assessment needs to take in a class environment with a minimum of 4 participants. No physical assessments with take place until social distancing has been relaxed to allow for this type of environment. All practical assessments are to be live streamed using zoom with the video submitted to your assessor after. You will receive support on how to do this.
What date does the course start?
The next Exercise to Music course commences 13th of July.
How much is the cost of the course?
The course cost is £333. This can be paid in one sum or split over 2 or 3 payments. We do not charge interest on the payments, and we do not charge a set up fee for this service.
Will I get hard copy of the manual?
No, we provide virtual access to the course content. you can purchase a manual at an additional cost of £40 inc p&p. This supports us keeping the costs lower for each learner.
How do I book?
Simple click on the book button above. This will direct you to a form which we use to gather the needed information for your Active IQ registration.
After submitting this form, you will receive your learner agreement and an invoice for your course based on the payment option you selected upon submission. Please note that courses are not confirmed as booked until payment has been made or a payment plan has been confirmed.
What happens next?
Your course start date will be in your terms and conditions and on your invoice. You will be contacted no later than 5 working days before your course commences with the following information:
Details of your tutor
How to book your space on the webinars where required
How to gain access to your learning materials
How to gain access to any technology you may need to use
How to submit your work
Any additional information you may need to know including assessment information and receiving results
