Community Fitness Week

It's back and it's just around the corner!!!

Community Fitness Week was a brand new initiative which launched in 2019 to raise awareness of community fitness and the instructors delivering sessions around the UK. Community Fitness can be anything from a Zumba Fitness class in your community centre, to a small walking group, to Pilates in the local primary school. Fitness can have such a huge impact on a community and helps build one. Besides the obvious fitness benefits, it also build social circles, removes barriers, and looks after mind and body

How it Works

Instructors across the UK join in by asking participants to donate non perishable items of food or online virtual hampers which are then gifted to the instructor's food bank or cause of choice. Instructors run their classes as normal.

Community Fitness Network run a timetable of classes over the week where instructors and participants can obtain tickets and join in virtual classes

In 2019, the campaign supported over 380 food banks and saw a huge 125,000 meals donated by instructors all around the Country. 2020 has a mission of 500,000 meals and we need your help to make that happen!

4 - Community Fitness Week is a huge national effort to support food banks across the UK. Sponsored by our friends at Gymcatch, this year we've got a virtual food collection which we would love you to sign up and join our team for collecting. Each instructor then will be asked who they want their donation to go to and the chosen food bank will receive the amount which the instructor has contributed to the bigger pot. Participants can now donate £3,£5, or £10 for basic food hampers.

Instructors can join the fundraising team using the link below.
