The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to design and adapt programmes to meet the needs of those requiring chair based exercise.
How is my course delivered?
The Chair Based Instructor course is a blended virtual course. We have created our own platform, NETFIT, which will allow the delivery of the course. This is backed up with 1 live mandatory webinars with your tutor.
What does the course cover
is course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge and skills required to be able to programme safe and effective exercise including adaptations for chair based participants. This course takes into account the specific needs of varied demographics including inactive, sedentary, disabled, obese, rehabilitation, recovery, older and frailer older adults in a variety of environments.
Is there a Pre- Requisite?
No. We strongly advise a L2 ETM or equivilent, or a minimum of 12 months teaching experience.

Saturday 8th May 10am-1pm
Friday 18th June 2pm-5pm
Saturday 24th Juy 11am-2pm
You MUST attend ONE webinar to be able to complete the course
How do you run the webinars?
We run all our webinars using Zoom.
What do I wear for the webinars?
Webinars can feature both lecture content and movement content. Please be prepared that you may be asked to do some movement, therefore we recommend you wear appropriate wear for exercise and of course have access to a chair.
What about all the other learning?
All other learning is done in your own time. this is an in-depth course and is the entry qualification in to the fitness industry. As a guide we advise 10 hours in total to complete the entire course including the assessments.
How do I take the assessments?
The assessment for this course is via a knowledge test throughout the course and case study to your assessor. You will be supported on how to submit this during your webinar
Will I get hard copy of the manual?
We provide you with a digital copy of the manual which you are able to print.
What happens next?
Your course start date will be in your terms and conditions and on your invoice. You will be contacted no later than 7 working days before your course commences with the following information:

How to submit your work
